Milan, Italy
17 - 26 May 2023
In this ORP funded school you will do a 'Phase A' study of an astronomical instrument dedicated to integral-field spectroscopy. You will plan an instrument in small groups led by an experienced tutor. During the first week the mornings are dedicated to lectures and the afternoons to group work. During second week the students will concentrate on group work. In the end of the school all groups will present their instrument plans.
The school is mainly meant for M.Sc/PhD students in astronomy or engineering who want to gain more experience in astronomical instrumentation. However, astronomers and engineers at any stage of the career are very welcome to apply to the school.
If you are interested in the whole process of designing an astronomical instrument, this school is perfect for you.
