Vita

I studied physics at the Kazan State University, but spent many years working, in parallel, in exploration geophysics, in particular on the analysis of geothermal reservoirs and their properties in connection with hydrocarbon deposits.
After graduating from the KSU, I was offered a PhD position in geophysics at Cornell University, but chose to pursue doctoral studies in astronomy at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. Since then, my career path took me to different places across Europe, from Garching to Cambridge, and finally to Heidelberg where I lead the independent research group “Stellar spectroscopy and stellar populations”, funded through the MPG, DFG, and ERC grants.

The full list of my publications can be found on ADS (ORCID 0000-0002-9908-5571), and here is the list of my talks, seminars, and invited lectureships over the period 2014 - 2023.
