Axisymmetric simulations of star formation to explain features of IRAM 04191
Wolfgang Dapp University of Western Ontario, London, Canada | |
We present new axisymmetric numerical simulations of the collapse of rotating magnetized cores which follow the evolution past the formation of a central point mass. We seek to explain some features of the young protostellar object IRAM 04191, specifically its break in rotational speed and infall velocity profiles at a distance of 3000 AU from the center. We include the effect of magnetic braking and assess whether it is required to understand the characteristics of IRAM 04191. |
