Axisymmetric simulations of star formation to explain features of IRAM 04191

We present new axisymmetric numerical simulations of the collapse of rotating magnetized cores which follow the evolution past the formation of a central point mass. We seek to explain some features of the young protostellar object IRAM 04191, specifically its break in rotational speed and infall velocity profiles at a distance of 3000 AU from the center. We include the effect of magnetic braking and assess whether it is required to understand the characteristics of IRAM 04191.
