  • On 64-bit machines (e.g. MacBookPro with Intel Core 2 Duo processor) running Max OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard MIA+EWS compiles, but the oir-routines crash when executed. However, there is a workaround: Compile MIA+EWS on a non 64-bit machine (e.g. running Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard) and copy the binaries to the Mac running Snow Leopard. If you need a tar ball with compiled binaries to run on Snow Leopard or if you know a fix to the problem, please contact Leonard Burtscher.

Changed lines 16-17 from:
  • since December 2009 version it doesn't compile on Mac OS X 10.6 anymore (but works fine when compiled on a 10.5 Mac and then executed on the 10.6 Mac, probably a problem with Snow Leopard's (10.6's) 64-bit 'support')
  • most recent (experimental) versions don't run neither on 10.5 nor 10.6 anymore (initial IDL setup breaks), runs fine on MPIA's aida machines
