Observing the magnetic field structure in the ISM with Planck

Planck is providing the first all-sky map of the dust polarisation in emission at sub-mm/mm wavelengths. We are analyzing these data to characterize the interplay between turbulence and the magnetic field from the diffuse interstellar medium to molecular clouds. Since the data we are working with is not yet available for presentation in open conferences, I will present Planck capabilities for imaging dust polarisation and the methodology we are developing to analyze the data. I will also outline the scientific questions we are addressing with the data.
