Star formation efficiency and lifetime of molecular clouds

Feedback from star forming regions should to a large extend determine the efficiency of how much of the gas in (gravitationally bound) molecular gas can be converted into stars and how long molecular clouds will last. Here I will present our latest results from our MHD simulations of molecular cloud evolution which initially formed in colliding streams. This new numerical calcuations include feedback from massive stars and supernovae which enables us to quantify the influence of feedback in terms of star formation efficiency and lifetime of molecular clouds.
