Unified Scenario of Molecular Cloud and Star Formation

| We present results from numerical simulations aimed at studying the formation of molecular clouds and of stars in a self-consistent and coherent manner. The simulations describe the entire evolutionary cycle of molecular clouds, from formation to dispersal, including a star-forming epoch. We discuss the durations of each evolutionary phase, the turbulent cloud parameters, and the dependence of the star formation efficiency on those parameters. | |
