Chemistry in low-mass cores

| Knowing the chemical properties of cores is of prime importance if we want to constrain their physical and dynamical properties. I will review the major chemical characteristics of low-mass pre-stellar cores, the consequences these have on our analysis of the physical properties of the clouds and how we understand so far these processes. I will show how chemistry can be used as a powerful diagnostic for early stage star formation. | |
