Scope of the School:

The goals of the IMPRS Summer Schools are to:
The choice of Astronomical Instrumentation as topic for the IMPRS Summer School 2008
is motivated by the recent rapid evolution in this field and the expected progress in the
future.
Instrumentation planned or constructed today will be used by our young colleagues tomorrow.
We concentrate on the optical to infrared regime since this is the window where there is most
of the local expertise.
