The goals of the IMPRS Summer school are:
Our choice of having the Interstellar Medium as topic for the IMPRS Summer School 2006
is motivated by the fact of both the rapid progress in and the bright future of the field
provided by observational, instrumental and theoretical advances.
The Interstellar Medium is as well a topic which is potentially interesting for a broad audience
of students and young scientists,
as it is a major constituent in a variety of galactic and extragalactic environments.
