High-Mass Star/Star Cluster Formation

I review our current understanding of the processes by which high mass
stars and star clusters form. The review focuses on a number of
outstanding questions, including: (1) how closely linked are the processes of the formation of a single massive star and the formation of an entire star cluster? (2) what feedback processes are important, and at what size scales? (3) is there an upper limit to the masses of of individual stars or of star clusters, and, if so, what sets it? | |
