The complex nature of high mass star-forming regions

Paolo Persi

The formation of massive stars (O,B,stars with masses greater of 8 Msun) is very complex and requires a good observational knowledge about star-forming environment. We present a survey of infrared calibrated images ranging from 1.2 to 500 micron obtained with the BAADE telescope at LCO and the Herschel space telescope with additional archive Spitzer data of two far-IR sources IRAS 15507-5359 and IRAS 17149-3916 (RCW121).
Caption: Ks-band image of IRAS 15507-5359. The blue contours are the 70 micron, and white contours the 350 micron Herschel emission.
