During the workshop mineral water and juice will be provided, and there will be regular and long coffee breaks. Also with meals, non-alcoholic beverages are provided free of charge. Drinks during the evening, and alcoholic beverages in general, need to be payed. Please have them charged to your room and pay upon checkout.

Travel arrangements:

PSF Retreat

We have arranged a Bus that will carry 50 people from Heidelberg to Schöntal on Wednesday morning and back on Friday afternoon. The bus will be waiting for you on the parking lot behind the crown plaza hotel from 08:30 and will leave 08:45 sharp. We will also need a few people (2-3) who will volunteer to drive with their private cars. please contact us (psf-workshop@mpia.de) if you are willing to help us out - much appreciated! The bus will leave when full, and after that we will fill the cars.

If you cannot attend the whole workshop and wish to come later or leave earlier you should arrange your own travel (private car?) and let us know. Everyone else must make use of the organized transport.

The meeting point is a short walk from Bismarckplatz:

Please be at the meeting point at 08:30, so we can really start the trip in time. We will start our return journey on Friday afternoon around 15:30 and plan to be back in Heidelberg around 17:15-17:30 (depending on traffic).

You do not have to submit a travel application (*), but a collective travel application will be filed by the organizers.

(*) If you volunteer to drive (thanks!) you should fill out a travel application, or ask us (psf-workshop@mpia.de) to do that for you. If you cannot attend the whole workshop and come with your own transport you should submit a travel application yourself. Ask your organizers if anything is unclear.

Information below is only relevant for volunteer drivers and people that attend only part of the workshop

( If you attend the whole workshop you needn't take note of anything below here)

Remember to fill out your travel application!

For several reasons, MPIA cannot grant the status of 'Significant business interest in using a private vehicle' for private cars. This means that the employer will not be liable for material damages should there be any unwanted contact with other vehicles or obstacles. Should you wish to do so, you can arrange with the travel department an external insurance that covers the three days during the Retreat. This will cost 3-3.5 euros per day.
