Half the Universe

From February 22. to March 14. 2005 the Max-Planck-Institue for Astronomy (Heidelberg), the Space Telescope Science Institute (Baltimore), the Max-Planck-Gesellschaft (Munich) and "Sterne und Weltraum" (Heidelberg) are hosting an exhibition in a connection tunnel between two underground lines in Munich:

"Das halbe Universum - Half the Universe"

On an area of 2.5x21 metres the largest colour mosaic taken with the Hubble Space Telescope -the GEMS project- is impressively introduced to the general public. For a virtual visit of the exhibition explore (currently only in German):
