Alpha Cen A and the Sun, twins with simmilar temperature inversion

Spanish news paper summarizes the results from the DUNES-paper lead by Dr. Liseau published as a Letter to the editor in A&A. This is the first time that the inversion temperature has been measured in a main sequence star different than the sun:

"The region of the temperature reversal can be directly observed only in the far infrared and sub-millimetre spectral regime. We aim at the determination of the characteristics of the atmosphere in the region of the temperature minimum of the solar sister star Alpha Cen A. This will as a bonus also provide a detailed mapping of the spectral energy distribution, i.e. knowledge that is crucial when searching for faint, Kuiper belt-like dust emission around other stars."
