Homepage of Melissa Ness

Welcome: In these pages I will write a little about who I am and what I do and provide some relevant links for further information.

Bio: I’m a postdoctoral researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy in Heidelberg, working for Hans-Walter Rix in the Milky Way group.

My research: centres around understanding the formation history of the Milky Way, via characterising the kinematics & chemical abundances of its stars.

If we had research keywords: mine would be: Milky Way, bulge, ARGOS, APOGEE, The Cannon, abundances, kinematics, boxy/peanut.
